CRANBURY – The annual Cranbury canoe races, sponsored by the Cranbury Township Recreation Commission, will be held Sunday, Sept. 12.
Bring a canoe or kayak along with friends and family. Registration is $5 a person, first-come, first-served.
Races will begin at 3 p.m. and continue very 15 minutes until about 5:30 p.m. Children 12 and under are encouraged to wear fun costumes.
In the one-person canoe race, open to all ages, there can be one person rowing with as many children who can safely fit into the boat. In the two-person race, also open to all ages, two can row and carry as many children who can safely fit into the boat.
In the kayak races, open to all ages, there can be one or two people in the boat.
For teens 13 to 18, anything goes – water balloons, etc. – but no touching or pushing over other boats.
