The summer season is winding down and we are gearing up for our last picnic to celebrate Labor Day. The Roebling Garden Club , celebrating its 30th year was looking for a clever tip to make your picnic a success. It is one of the last times to enjoy your beautiful yard and we wanted to make it a good one. We received a tip from a fellow gardener via the Internet. To keep flies away from your picnic, fill a zip lock bag half full of water and put in four pennies. Zip up the bag near the food table. If the area is large use more than one bag. It is supposed to work because a fly will see a reflection and won’t come near the food. Happy Labor Day!!
