Holt problem, not solution
By: centraljersey.com
The furor over New Jersey not receiving "Race to the Top" funds is misdirected.
What is outrageous is a government using our money as doggy biscuits to train us to jump through their hoops.
Think about it. We have a federal Department of Education that has no constitutional basis spending in excess of $160 billion in 2010. We have an army of bureaucrats, dedicated to the premise that they know better than we how to educate our children, soaking up a king-sized portion of those $160 billion and distributing the rest to those who do their bidding.
The House of Representatives is responsible for originating the funding bills that fuel this and other outrages. The members of the House are directly responsible for the disaster our government has become.
Rush Holt is part of the problem, not the solution. For 12 years, he has consistently voted to increase the size of government and to redistribute money from those who earned it to those he considered worthy to receive it.
If you believe the government is too large and spends too much money, then consider Albert Einstein’s quote, "Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
By that definition, sending Rush Holt back to Congress and expecting smaller government and less spending is insane.
You have a choice. Scott Sipprelle will work to enact strict spending controls on the government, to cut taxes and boost the private economy. Scott believes we must force government to live within its means in order to restore our prosperity.
I agree and support Scott. Learn more at www.SupportScott2010.com.
