– St. Martin of Tours – His Eminence, Cardinal Justin Rigali, archbishop of Philadelphia, will celebrate Mass at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 at St. Martin of Tours, New Hope. Cardinal Rigali with the pastor, the Rev. Fred Kindon, will open a year-long celebration in honor of the 125th Jubilee of St. Martin of Tours Church.
From 25 families and $2000 from "subscribers," the dream of a church in New Hope became a reality in 1885. From the "Faith of our Founders to the Hope of our Future," St. Martin of Tours has grown from the old historic church in downtown New Hope to a testament of the devotion, and dedication of the 3500 parishioners today.
