– The Artists’ Choice Group is teaming up with the Hopewell Township branch of the Mercer County Library for a September art show. The group is made up of local residents who meet twice a month at the Hopewell Valley Senior Center to work on their art and share ideas. Members of the group use various media, including watercolor, oil, and acrylics. The group is facilitated by Hopewell Township resident, Bob Barish, who has a background in design and worked in the animal health, medical diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries. He works primarily in oil, both in the studio and as part of plein air group. His work has been featured in many art shows during the past four decades, including the Artsbridge and Phillips Mill shows. His years of experience as an artist and designer help members of Artists’ Choice as they try new techniques, expand their own expertise, and prepare work for a show.
The show will be held in the community room of the library, 245 Pennington-Titusville Road, during September. There will be a reception on Sept. 15 from 4-6 p.m. Refreshments will be sponsored by Seniors Helping Seniors of Lawrenceville. For more show information, call 737-2610.
