The Community Kitchen of the Centenary United Methodist Church will sponsor "I Scream!" on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
"I Scream" will be an evening of entertainment, including an open microphone for local artists coupled with an old- fashioned ice cream social.
"I Scream!" is a free event open to all members of greater Lambertville and surrounding communities, their friends, and families.
Local artists already are reserving stage time and provisions have been made to include drop-in performers.
The Community Kitchen will be open for the ice-cream-social segment of the event. The kitchen will serve shakes, floats, cones, and build-it-yourself sundaes and splits. Everybody will be encouraged to create his/her own ice cream delights. Coffee and cold beverages will be included on the evening’s menu.
The Community Kitchen is located in the fellowship hall of the Centenary United Methodist Church, 108 N. Union St., Lambertville.
The kitchen serves free luncheons to all members of the greater community every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and free Sunday brunch from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The church has been serving the Lambertville community since 1834. For more information, visit: www.lambertvillecumc.org .
