On Saturday, John Perez, 25, of North Brunswick was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Jennifer Thiangtham, 20, and Lauren Maldonado, 20, both of Somerset, were charged with underage possession of alcohol. Police said Mr. Perez was stopped at 1:17 a.m. on Route 130 when a random computer check revealed the registration of his car to be expired. Police said they found open alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Winter Auto Repair, on Route 130, told police that scrap metal collectors removed $650 of metal from the property between 6 p.m. Sept. 2 and 8:30 a.m. Friday.
Brandon Didonato, 18, of Voelbel Road, was charged Sept. 1 with possession of marijuana and several motor vehicle offenses.
Police said he was stopped at 2:50 a.m. on Route 33 for failing to maintain his lane and they found a small quantity of marijuana under a seat. Two juveniles in the vehicle were released to their parents.

Kostadin D. Tchatchev, 33, of Lawrenceville, was charged Aug. 29 for speeding and driving without a license. Police said he was stopped at 12:19 p.m. for driving 48 mph in a 30-mph zone, on South Main Street.
Michael A. Ray, 34 of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania on Aug. 30 for warrants after a traffic stop at 9:45 a.m. on North Main Street. Once stopped, police said, he was found to have five warrants from different jurisdictions totaling $1,115.

A bear was spotted Sept. Sunday in a backyard in the unit block of Marisa Drive. Local police contacted the state Fish and Game Commission, which were assisting in the investigation. Police were advising the public not to approach the animal but to call police (xxxxxxx) if they see the animal.
