Zimmerli schedules trip to N.J. waterfront

The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, New Brunswick, will sponsor a Sept. 15 trip to the New Jersey waterfront and the Adventure Aquarium, Camden (formerly the New Jersey State Aquarium). Departure is set for 8:15 a.m. from behind Sears, Route 1, New Brunswick. Return will be at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The trip, which is designed to coincide with the opening of the Zimmerli’s new fall exhibition, “Water,” will feature a behindthe scenes tour at the aquarium including a walk on the top of the 40-foot shark tank. Other exhibits include Penguin Island, the Rainforest seals and the 4D theater.Athreecourse lunch will be offered at Moshulu, a restaurant on a ship at Penn’s Landing. There will be a stop at the Rutgers Camden campus with a walk-through of the Stedman Art Gallery’s show, “Curator’s Choice.” A visit to Eldridge R. Johnson Park, a cultural and historic resource, will follow. The trip will require some walking and stair climbing.

Cost, including lunch, is $100 for members, $115 for nonmembers.
