A vote for Sipprelle

By: centraljersey.com
As a member of the farm community with many agricultural interests, I am writing to urge those who live in the 12th Congressional District to vote for Scott Sipprelle.
I wish I could say that I was shocked to read that Rush Holt is asking for $100,000 of our hard-earned tax money to give to a bogus nonprofit to study "how to establish connections between farmers and the community," but, unfortunately, that is the kind of pork barrel spending we have come to expect from Washington.
Farmers don’t need studies and reports; we need a level playing field where we can honestly and fairly compete.
I met Scott at our farm when he first started campaigning. He told me about his plan to identify waste and redundant programs every year and put the list to an up or down vote. Keep the programs that work and end the ones that don’t – just plain common sense.
That’s exactly what we need to get our economy back on track. We are tired of being told that it is patriotic to pay more taxes. We all recognize we are our brothers’ keepers, but the waste and corruption in Mr. Holt’s pork barrel spending is the sort of thing that makes the cost of government too much to bear.
This election day, I’m voting for Scott Sipprelle because we need a congressman with common sense, small business experience, and respect for the people who pay the bills.
