HILLSBOROUGH: Krauszer’s clerk robbed at knifepoint

By Eileen Oldfield, Staff Writer
Police are searching for a man in his mid-40s who stole an undisclosed amount of money from the Krauszer’s store on Amwell Road Sept. 9 after threatening the clerk at knifepoint, police said.
The clerk reported the incident at 9:41 p.m. that night, but said the man entered the store at about 9:35 p.m. The man proceeded to purchase an item from the store, and produced a knife and demanded money from the register when the clerk opened the machine to complete the transaction, police said.
He then reached over the counter and grabbed the money from the register, and fled on foot toward Amwell Road.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, and was wearing a white T-shirt with a long-sleeved black shirt underneath it, black sunglasses, blue jeans, and a light-colored bandana on his head.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Hillsborough Township Police at 908-369-4323.
