The Cubscout Pack 55 Chesterfield will host its 2010/2011 season kickoff family picnic and information session on Saturday, Sept. 18 on the open field behind the Crosswicks Community House from 3:30 p.m. till 6:30 p.m.. (Rain date Sept.19). They will provide hot dogs, burgers, snacks and drinks for all and ask that you bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. Boy Scouts from Troop 55 will be demonstrating some field cooking techniques and other Scout activities. The Chesterfield Township Keen Agers luncheon meeting will be held at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Chesterfield Firehouse. Any Chesterfield Township resident 55 and over is welcome to attend. ***

The Crosswicks Library 8th annual Chili Contest will be held Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Crosswicks Library. Each person entering should bring one big container of chili (hot) to the library no later than 10 a.m. Sept. 25. The judges will do their tasting at 12 noon and the remaining chili will be used for tasting sale. A prize will be awarded to the best chili.
