LETTER TO THE EDITOR

On Point lauded

Heather Cheesman, deputy mayor, Bordentown City
Beyond a shadow of a doubt you could feel the sense of community while witnessing the best of our high school students this past Friday at the opening of the On Point program.
From the exciting opening ceremony to meeting each student individually you can see that Bordentown Regional High School is On Point and ready to start this year with a focus on positive initiatives within the school and also in conjunction with the community.
It was obvious to all who attended that the On Point team with the leadership of Jodie Glenn & Rick Pina put in a great amount of time and effort into making this event a big success.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of the students, Mrs. Glenn and Mr. Pina for the wonderful event, as well for all of the time and effort that you routinely put into organizing school programs. It was a pleasure to be there with several of the community leaders, including Mayor Lynch, Mayor Hill, Mayor Tyler, Commissioner Targonski, Mark Drew, Tom Dalton and Assemblyman Herb Conway.
Thank you again for all that you did to coordinate this positive initiative. I look forward to working with the students and staff to support this initiatives and future ventures that can help us to be the best community we can be.
