The Middlesex County Public Health and Education Committee recently scheduled the county’s 2010-11 Seasonal Influenza and Pneumococcal Vaccination Program.
County influenza-vaccination clinics, which will continue through Nov. 19, are open to county residents ages 18 and above. Charge is $10 per vaccination. Residents who present a valid red, white and blue Medicare card will not be charged; Medicare will be billed for the seasonal influenza immunization. All residents without Medicare coverage will be charged $10 for the vaccination.
Pneumococcal immunizations also will be available by appointment only to Middlesex County residents who are ages 65 and older and who have never received the vaccine. Individuals who present a valid red, white and blue Medicare card will not be charged; Medicare will be billed for the vaccination. All residents without Medicare coverage will be charged $10 for the immunization. For a pneumococcalvaccination appointment, call 732-745- 3100, 2-4 p.m., Mondays-Fridays.
The $10 vaccination fees will be accepted in cash only. Exact change is strongly advised. No bill larger than $20 will be accepted.
