Mr. Oswald, 68, of Belford, died Aug. 16, 2010, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was the founder and president of Oswald Enterprises Inc. and a member of the Community Advisory Board at Riverview Medical Center. Mr. Oswald was one of the founding members of the New Jersey chapter of the Lymphoma Research Foundation. He was also on the Advisory Board at the Rainbow Foundation, past president of the Middletown Lions Club, an active member of the N.J. Water Environment Association, and a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Monmouth. Mr. Oswald is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shirley; three daughters, Cathy Read of Middletown and Elizabeth and Patty Oswald of Belford; a sonin law, John Read; two sisters and a brother-inlaw, Marie Oswald of Belford, and Joan and Tom Treadway of Howell; a sister-in-law, Margaret Oswald of Belford; and three nephews. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary’s Chapel, followed by burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Contributions may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation N.J.
