Mr. Campbell, 87, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, died Sept. 3, 2010, in Neptune. A U.S. Army veteran of Word War II, he was a member of the Leonardo First Aid; American Legion Post 338, where he was the service officer; and the Monmouth County Democratic Club. Mr. Campbell worked as the service manager for Fedders Corp. in Edison. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Patrick and Debbie of Wall, Michael and Jill of Middletown, Timothy of Leonardo, and Jeffery and Melissa of Framingham, Mass.; two daughters, Deborah Campbell of Lakewood and Maureen Maimone of Ocean; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, followed by interment at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater N.J.
