Mr. Burns, 96, of Hazlet, died Sept. 3, 2010, at his daughter’s home in Hazlet. He worked with Local 32B, New York City, retiring in 1982. Mr. Burns was predeceased by his wife, Alice Patricia Gilroy Burns, in 1987; and his brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Jane Patricia Breen and Catherine Helen Love; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport. Interment was private. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was entrusted with arrangements.
