HoVal Junior Midgets give RV its first loss

Defensively, the line was led by Jeff Lorenz, Austin Hawkins, Greenberg and Braden Brown, while linebackers Jantomo, Chris DeClerico, Pancake Latham, Horihan and Simonian made big hits. Mike Salerno blocked well at receiver and Andrew Wooley worked hard at defensive end. Quarterback Kevin Coleman engineered the final scoring drive.
In a 37-0 win at Burlington City Sep. 12, Immordino scored four touchdowns, including a 60-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, and an interception return for a touchdown. Simonian ran for a touchdown and Coleman threw a touchdown pass.

The 160s won an epic defensive battle to knock off the previously unbeaten Rancocas Valley Patriots, 8-6, in Burlington County football play Sunday.
The 3-0 Bulldogs scored on their second possession when halfback Lawrence Stevens followed blocks from Darren Basich and Will Cusma to turn a simple blast off tackle into a 50-yard TD run. Matt Semple kicked what turned out to be the winning points to make it 8-0.
The game remained a classic tussle in the trenches and the Patriots finally got on the board in the third quarter. But the defense preserved the win by blocking the PAT attempt.Carson Vey made a big defensive play in the fourth quarter and Jeff Wiley, Lorenzo Bryant and Drew Wiley all had bit stops. RV put together a late drive until Basich’s interception sealed the win.
