The U11 Power blanked both the Freehold Shooters, 1-0, and the Wall United, 3-0 this past weekend. Against Freehold, Alex Morris and Caroline Cano fed Allie McDaid for the game’s lone goal. A stingy defense was led by Diba Onochie and Meghna Mishra, along with a great last-minute goal-saving play by Lisa Cohen. Goalies Sarah Boate and Maya Kenny continued their strong play in goal.
That was followed by the Power’s third straight shutout, with goals coming from Alana Wolkiewicz, Danielle Devin (from Amanda Szeles) and Samantha Erman.
Kirin Kunukkasseril had a goal and an assist as the East Windsor PAL U10 Wildcats defeated the Rumson Bulldawg, 3-0, in travel soccer play. Simrit Grewal and Hailey Cammarata also tallied, while strong offensive pressure came from Caitlin McConnell, Juila Thomson, Sarah Brottman and Olivia Thiel. Sahithi Muthyala, Kathryn DeMilt and Rebecca Yeager anchored a solid defensive effort, while goalkeepers Johaira Perez, Simrit and Julia shared credit for the shutout.
Marc Roberts hat trick and single goals by Brenden Price, Robert Cohen, Ryan Kosmides and Siddharth Challani powered the U-15 Silver Stars to a 7-0 win over Manalapan No. Strong midfield play came from Gautham Ramasubu, Jason Brandon, Max Dolnick and Nathaniel Crabtree, while defenders Benjamin Infosino and Sam Tootleman were solid in front of shutout goalkeepers Ryan Ely and Kyle Diller.
Anna Lee and Nicole Miller scored two goals apiece, while Reena Ketkar and Erika Serhus also tallied in the U-16 Blast’s 6-3 win over the Tinton Falls Storm. Defenders Kelly McGlew, Kristen McGrath and Amy Woods worked well with new goalie Caila Cabrera, who stepped up her game this week. Samantha Gleich, Hannah Murphy, Ashley Avant, Allyson Keil and Raffi Alexander were stellar in the midfield.
The United took a 2-0 win over the Toms River Youth SC, as Elizabeth LeChard and Isabel Hulme (from Sophia Szelag) had the goals. Maeve McGowan, Kailyn Castro, Camilla Ortiz, Megan McConnell, Freyja Quinn, Emily Barry, Jessica Devlin and Gina Zappola played stellar defense in front of goalies Morgan Koppel, Leela Chari and Emily Barry.
The Titans dropped a 3-2 nailbiter to the Toms River Riptide despite two goals by Nicolas Petruso. Chris Sockler and Jason Avila helped control the ball, while strong defensive play came from Bryan Situ and Spencer Cohen in front of stellar goalies Peter Mejia and Bryan Ortega.
The Cranbury U12 Freedom won their opener, 1-0 over Princeton in the Mid-Jersey League Flight 2. (Cranbury moved up this year). Carlin Romaine had the lone goal off a feed from Makenzie Roca. Sweeper Bobbi Arnold was outstanding on defense, along with goalie Olivia Connolly, who made numerous big-time saves.

SENIOR GIRLS
The Tidal Waves topped Manalapan, 3-0, on goals by Savanna Gilmore, Kriti Pallava, and Jessie Blackburn, with an assist from Jasjot Kaur. Keepers Rebecca Infosino and Jessica Cier worked hard with defenders Morgan Kentsbeer, Sarah Perry and Jessenia Orellana. Danielle Dover and Helen Kurahara played well in the midfield. ***

Team 4 tied Team 3 thanks to goals by Will Palmer, Rohin Iyengar and Nathan Diller. ***
PRE-CADET GIRLS
The VFW Post 5700 Grey Foxes played the Bell’s Custom Painting White Eagles to a 1-1 tie. Ashley Giampolo had the Foxes goal, while strong efforts came from Isabella Benitez, Ashley Brophy, Tyler Restucci and goalie Kate Engblom. Kiana Quizhpi scored for the Eagles, who were led by Allison Pratt in goal along with Samora Genek and Sydney Eber on defense.
The Superstars tied the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Chocolate Brownies, 1-1, as Anna Radigan scored off a feed from Ella Radigan. Leighann Ennis, Neeha Anand and Haley Blank played strong defense for the Stars. Giavanna Toto scored for the Brownies, while Alexandra Desiderio played stellar defense while Mary Gazaleh and Jessica Benattar made several saves in goal. ***
MONROE GIRLS
The Monroe U14 Power opened its season with a 2-2 tie against the East Brunswick Ravens. Lauren Gaskel scored off an assist from Erica Junquet, while Lexi Busco also tallied for the Power.
Goaltending duties were shared by Casey Reyes, Sarah Hager and Erica Junquet, who got strong defensive help from sweeper Alycia Nelson, Cori Haider, Kelly Roznick, Sydney Reyes and Andrea French. Abby Ludwig applied offensive pressure along with wings Kyrsten Ramkishun, Busco and Gaskel, while midfielders Jenna Parisen, Kate Broskie and Arianna Reyes stirred things up for the Power.
