MONROE – As the Monroe Township Adult Education Program enters its 27th year, it is presenting its traditional courses for lifelong learning.
Knowing the environmental and economic challenges everyone faces, concerns about the program’s future have become a reality. The need to revisit and revise the brochure is just the beginning of the program’s efforts to keep it alive and growing.
Looking ahead to its spring session, the program plans to reduce paper waste even more and go green. As of March 1, look for the program online at www.monroe.k12.nj.us or sign up for e-mail communication on a course registration form this fall.
For those not able to gain computer access, a limited number of complimentary course booklets will be distributed around town.
The program’s goal is to be self-supporting, however, it would appreciate financial donations to keep course fees affordable. All individual and commercial donors’ names will be listed unless instructed otherwise.
This fall’s course offerings include 13 new art and musical history lectures, nine new leisure time activities to explore, 14 new culinary offerings and more – 55 new courses in total.
Courses fill up quickly or may be canceled if enrollment is insufficient.
Many classes already have started. For information, call 732-656-9075. See the brochure at www.monroe.k12.nj.us.
