Somerset County residents are reminded that Oct. 12 is the deadline to register to vote in the general election on Nov. 2. Residents who will be 18 or older by Nov. 2 may register.
The Somerset County Board of Elections will be open 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, for voter registration.
At all other times, the Election Board office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is located on the first floor of the Somerset County Administration Building at 20 Grove St., Somerville. Free parking is available in the adjacent Bernie Field Parking Deck.
Some municipal clerks’ offices also may be open until 9 p.m. on Oct. 12 for voter registration. Contact the clerk’s office in your municipality to confirm their hours of operation. For a list of clerks’ telephone numbers go to www.co.somerset.nj.us/towndir.html
