Three Princeton businesses and one from Plainsboro were recognized by The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce for their accomplishments and achievements throughout the year.
Honorees were announced at the Princeton Public Library on Friday. The four award winners (three chamber-sponsored and one sponsored by the chamber’s foundation ) will be honored at the chamber’s Annual Business Leadership Awards Gala on Nov. 30 at the Tournament Players Club Jasna Polana.
Leslie Burger, director of the Princeton Public Library, has been named as the recipient of Community Leader of the Year Award sponsored by Glenmede.
"The Community Leader of the Year Award recognizes commitment and innovation in community services, and the Princeton Public Library, under the direction of Leslie Burger, has significantly made a positive impact on the community it serves," said Karen Jezierny, chair of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation and director of public affairs at Princeton University. "Like the chamber’s business awards, the foundation’s recognition of community leadership will inspire individuals, companies and organizations to aim ever higher in areas of philanthropy, community service, and civic engagement."
Rick Weiss, president and founder of Viocare Inc. in Princeton, has been named as the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by Bank of America.
Dr. Thomas McCool, president and CEO of Eden Autism Services, located in Plainsboro, has been honored with the Innovator of the Year Award, sponsored by NRG Energy.
Christine Lokhammer, senior vice president of PNC Wealth Management, located in Princeton, has been named as the recipient of the Business Leader of the Year Award, sponsored by WithumSmith+Brown.
"The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor four business leaders whose accomplishments are a source of motivation and inspiration to the business community and the entire Princeton region," said J. Robert Hillier, chair of the board of directors of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and founder and principal of J. Robert Hillier.
