The MOMS Club of Millstone Township will hold its next monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Oct. 14.
Mothers from Millstone and Roosevelt are welcome to meet the club’s members and learn about this international, nonprofit organization that offers local, stay-at-home and part-time working moms support and the opportunity to share activities and experiences with other local moms and their children. Children are always welcome at the meetings.
The MOMS Club organized a “Home Baked for our Heroes” event to commemorate the 9/11 relief efforts of local firefighters, first aid squad members and New Jersey State Police. On Sept. 11, the club presented a variety of cooked meals and baked goods to these local organizations to honor their contributions to and assistance with 9/11.
As well, on Millstone Day, the club sold a number of baked goods and gently used children’s books as part of its benefit fundraiser for moms in need. The remaining unsold baked goods were donated to M&M rest home in Millstone.
