JERSEY CARES PROVIDES VOLUNTEERS AT
THE HILLSBOROUGH FAMILY YMCA
Approximately 150 volunteers from ImClone, a division of Eli Lilly, volunteered at the Hillsborough Family YMCA on Thursday, October 7th. Scores of volunteers planted, built a fence and shed and painted murals and flower boxes.
“The Hillsborough Family YMCA is thrilled to partner with Jersey Cares,” said Hillsborough Branch Executive Director, Valerie Giacopelli. “A large part of Jersey Cares mission is about building a sense of community, and at the Y we work to strengthen the foundations of community. This volunteer event certainly helps build towards that goal. We’re very grateful to Jersey Cares and to the employees of ImClone who invested their time and talent on the many projects that were completed.”
Jersey Cares works to meet compelling community needs by encouraging civic engagement. With local service agencies, corporations and civic-minded individuals as our partners, they link volunteers with meaningful service projects to improve and enhance our communities.
The Hillsborough Family YMCA is a branch of the Somerset Valley YMCA. To find out more about the Hillsborough Family YMCA, visit www.ymcasomersetvalley.org.
