In HEWYBL JV action on Saturday, the Chargers beat the Brothers Pizza and Pasta Panthers 24-18, as Michael Luisi rushed for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Tyler Goslin threw a 15-yard TD pass to Noah Golder.
The defense was led by Emmanuel Sanon Jules (7 flag pulls) and Randy Picker, who picked off a pass and ran it back for a TD. Erin Muni and Dylan Howrath were also relentless at pulling flags.
The Panthers were led by Ryan Descoteau, who had 120 yards passing, including a 25 yard touchdown pass to Danny Burgess. David Harris scored on a 70-yard run, while Zachary Houtenville caught a TD pass from Frankie Barzda.
Ameya Hadap, Chris Gonnella and Griffin Burd each had 4 flag pulls for the Panthers.
The Jets scored two second-half touchdowns for a 14-0 win over the Brother Pizza and Pasta Panthers. Tyrell Green caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Alex Beggs, who also ran 60 yards for a TD. The Jets defense was led by Shane Freda, Danny Teman and Michael Quigg, while the Panther defense was paced by Christopher Gonnella, Zachary Houtenville, Aaron Davis and Jason Tomarchio.
The Intellisphere Dolphins took a 38-12 win over the Panthers as Jalen Paige threw two long touchdown passes to Jackson Fogarty while Dan Austin rushed for over 100 yards and had a 45-yard TD run. The defensive stops came from AJ Austin, Mike Caniano and Nick Gratkowski. For the Panthers, Kyle Doherty ran 60 yards for a TD, Griffin Burd caught a 25-yard pass from Ryan Descoteau and Danny Burgess caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Ameya Hadap. SOPHOMORE
The Beekman House Studio Giants topped the Pet Valu Panthers, 30-19 two weeks ago, as George Chrissafis threw for one touchdown and caught a 60-yard TD pass. Nicky Desmond had four flag pulls on defense as well as a key touchdown reception on offense. Shray Awasti and Isaiah Renaud continued to play well, each having a pair of flag pulls and a touchdown.
For the Panthers, Kether Thornton had a team-high four flag pulls, four touches for 95 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown. Tyler Schamper had three rushes for 75 yards and a touchdown and Lucas Trancozo was 3-for-5 passing with an extra point and also ran for 10 yards.
