The Montgomery High School cheerleaders are selling T-shirts, awareness bands and bandanas in preparation for a Pink-Out at the Montgomery football game on Oct 15. The Cougars will host Plainfield with kick off scheduled for 7 p.m. at Cougar Stadium.
The Pink-Out is to support Cancer Awareness and a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center. The shirts are priced at $10 for either a pink with white lettering shirt or a black shirt with pink lettering. Wristbands and bandanas cost $1. There are also opportunities to sign a banner in memory of friends and relatives.
Fans are encouraged to wear the pink apparel to the Pink-Out Homecoming game to visibly show Montgomery’s support of breast cancer awareness.
There will be a brief pre-game ceremony and the cheer team will entertain the crowd with a special Cougar for a Cure tribute performance. The team has been selling the Pink items during lunches at school and to other Montgomery teams.
