The Burlington County Chiefs of Police Association has announced its support of Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield in her bid for re-election in November. She was elected sheriff in 2001.
The association stated Sheriff Stanfield has developed and provided many programs intended to assist the senior citizens, parents and children of Burlington County, such as the child safety seat checks program, Project Life Saver, identity theft programs, defensive driving course training.
She is an active member of the county chief’s association, serving as chairwoman of the Anti-Terrorism Task Force and Gang Task Force. Sheriff Stanfield works with the county police chiefs and directors obtaining grants for gang prevention and traffic safety. She also promotes several community related programs including Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and other additional training for both civilian and law enforcement personnel, according to the association.
Sheriff Stanfield received a unanimous endorsement by the members of the Chiefs Association at its recent regular monthly meeting.
