LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Cann lauded

Virginia Monson, Bordentown
Last month I spoke before the Bordentown Township Committee about the lack of “curb appeal” and the need to improve the appearance along the major highways cutting through our community. The response I received was to be berated and screamed at by Mayor Bruce Hill. He said I have not lived in the township long enough (six years) to express my opinion at a public meeting. I am still waiting for his apology.
Since that time, the Township Committee has allowed a new major eyesore to move into town. I am talking about the truck-parking business on Route 206 at the site of a former rental store near the EconoLodge. Not only is this a major affront to the eyes, but I can only imagine what environmental damage is being done to this property.
Bordentown Township is becoming a nightmare reality show, produced and directed by Mayor Hill and committee members Dauber and DiMattia. What impact does this newest blight have on our property values? What does this say to township residents, prospective home buyers and visitors about the direction in which our township is being taken by Mayor Hill’s administration? What can you do about this? YOU can do what I am going to do, vote for Jim Cann for Township Committee.
Jim is a former Township Committeeman, who served as deputy mayor. Jim stood up to Mayor Hill and the Republican-controlled committee and spoke up for the best interests of ALL our residents. Jim served our community with honesty and integrity and treated each citizen with the respect we deserve. That is why I am supporting Jim Cann for Bordentown Township Committee.
