ROBBINSVILLE – A township man was seriously injured Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of Robbinsville-Edinburg and Pond roads.
Joseph Diamond, 68, was transported to Capital Health trauma center in Trenton, where he was listed in serious condition Monday with leg and head injuries, police said. Ian Cabrera, 39, of Trenton, who was driving a Nissan Murano, was not injured.
Police said Mr. Diamond was traveling east on Pond Road when his motorcycle entered the intersection and collided with the Nissan, which was heading south on Robbinsville-Edinburgh Road (Route 526), police said.
West Windsor EMS, which responded with the Robbinsville Division of Fire and EMS, transported Mr. Diamond to the trauma center with Capital Health paramedics. West Windsor police assisted with traffic.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. Anyone with information should contact Patrolman Thomas Egan at 259-3900.
