The South Brunswick Senior Center is looking for a few good me and women to take part in a scrapbook project that will archive veterans’ histories.
Veterans can be from any war and any branch. Each veteran will have a page devoted to his/her service and will be interviewed by a high school student.
The program is open to South Brunswick veterans only. Contact Caryl Greenberg at 732-329-4000, ext. 7212.
Citizen alumni group forms
The Alumni Association for the South Brunswick Citizen’s Police Academy is resuming activities and would like as many graduates as possible to participate.
Current Alumni Association activities include South Brunswick fireworks stand-by and working with National Night out. A CPR and first aid class is in the process of being scheduled for November for members of the group.
An initial planning meeting was held Sept. 21 and included the election of officers. Kate Battle was elected President. She can be contacted at 732-274-3423 for information as well as an application form.
The group also has a Facebook page listed under South Brunswick Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Additional information along with an application form can be obtained there by sending a message to the association.
The next meeting for Nov. 2.
