Charlie Morreale returned from an opening-day injury to complete four of 10 passes for 60 yards, including a 25-yard TD pass to Kalib Barksdale in the Cards 31-17 loss to Hightstown Saturday. Morreale also rushed for 85 yards on five carries Sherman Riggins rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown while Nile Jones scampered for 95 yards. BOYS SOCCER
The Cardinals finally hit the win column when Tommy O’Rourke’s second-half goal from Ryan Janoska provided a 1-0 victory over Robbinsville last Thursday.
Lawrence turned around and made it two straight with a 4-1 win over Hamilton West Tuesday. Zac Cartun had a goal and two assists, while Lugwiglentz Phildor, Tom O’Rourke and Usman Haq also scored. Zack Weyand had an assist and Max Russo made five saves. GIRLS SOCCER
The Cards fell to Robbinsville, 3-1, last Thursday despite a goal by Adrian Glass off an assist from Kathleen O’Rourke. Maria Visco made 11 saves in goal while Caoimhe O’Sullivan-Roche had five.

Rachel Wallitt scored two goals and Niki Ikeda added a goal and an assist as Lawrence beat Stuart Country Day, 3-2, last Thursday. Lindsey Frietag and Sammie Peralta had assists while Caitlyn McBride made six saves. The Cards took a 4-0 win over Ewing Tuesday to improve to 7-3, but no stats were available. TENNIS
Morgan Pessanelli won at third singles and Eva Szyszko-Alina Vitukhnovskaya prevailed at first doubles but Lawrence dropped a 3-2 decision to Robbinsville last Wednesday.
Szyszko-Vitukhnovskaya also won in straight sets in the Cards 4-1 setback to Jackson Liberty in the Central Jersey Group III Tournament last Thursday.
Singles wins by Jess Rubinstein, Vitukhnovskaya and Szyszko sparked a 5-0 win over Hamilton last Friday. Carmen Chan-Jeanette Cibelli won at first doubles and Amy ChangAleya Nelson won at second.
