Mosquera ignites Breese with two goals in HVSA D3

Julian Mosquera helped get the current flowing for Breese Electric.
Mosquera scored two goals and Charlie Kessel added one as Breese took a 3-1 win over Pennington Quality Market in Hopewell Valley Soccer Association Division 3 Boys play. Max DeLos Santos, Matthew Giangrasso, Joshua Dafilou, Ryan Norris and Malcolm Bornmann all helped set up the scores, while Domenic Zangrilli and Thomas McLaughlin played well in goal. The Front Porch People Eaters and the Pennington Bagel Pink Panthers played to a 3-3 tie, as the Panthers got two goals from Adelinne Danieluk and one from Samantha Pietrinferno. Front Porch scored three second-half goals as Jolene Evich tallied twice and Summer Goldstein also scored.
The Team Sutherland Tigers continued their unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory as Julia Peters first-quarter goal from Molly Rhoads proved to be the difference. The Tigers generated several near-miss opportunities throughout the game with offensive pressure provided by Charlotte Hare, Anna Neal and Abigail Shevlin. Stingy defensive play came from Anna Cappucci, Emily Sonzogni, Chloe Mummert and Emma Suter as Team Sutherland got its sixth clean sheet of the season.
Wealth Management Partners scored early and never looked back in a 4-1 win over The Flower Shop. Emily Cooke scored twice in the opening minutes, while Annabelle Davis and Katie Baker also tallied. A strong defense was led by goalies Logan Martel, Maggie Amaral, Baker and Grace Sked. The Flower Shop got a goal from Evanna Hemenetz and strong play in the nets from Tara Popik.
Wealth Management played Pennington Bagel to a 1-1 tie. Sam Pietrinferno scored on a corner kick for Bagel and Wealth responded with a score from Davis. Pennington was led by Pietrinferno and Jaime Wills on offense. Emily Flanders led the defense in front of goalies Pietrinferno and Jenna Brown. Wealth’s offense was fueled by Amaral, Cooke and Zoe Stanton. Strong defense was displayed from Jillian Mannix and Sked. Goalies Logan Martel and Baker had multiple saves. DIVISION 2 BOYS
C&M Auto Parts won its sixth of the year with a 3-0 victory over Pine Creek. Erik Sawicki had a goal and an assist while Nick Bates and Ben Morreale also tallies. C&M got breakaway threats from Jacob Wilson, Devin Higgens, Evan Plare and Alex Kessel, while strong offensive support came from Rune Jamieson, Tiernan Stover and Aidan Gross. Alex Kessel, Devin Higgins, Evan Plarre, Luke McManimon, Morreale, Sawicki and Bates played well on defense in front of goalies Wilson, McManimon and Bates.
Greg’s Landscaping won a 1-0 game over Green Leaf Landscaping on a goal by Anand Wetzel. Green Leaf was led by Gabriel Lefebvre and Andrew Rebak. Greg’s then took a 3-0 win over Dr. DeSimone as Cade Jones scored two goals and Mason Bursac added one. The shutout was recorded thanks to strong goalkeeping by Nick Pietrinferno, Cade Jones and Liam May, while Thomas Finn showed great energy throughout.
First Place C & M Automotive battled Precision Acura to a 1-1 tie as C&M’s Erik Sawicki scored in the fourth quarter before Milo De Los Santos tied it for Acura. DIVISION 3 GIRLS
Fancy Threads defeated Diana’s Epiphany despite a goal by DE’s Grace Sawicki, an assist by Martha Kerbel and strong midfield play from Krisitin Phau, Mia Cura and Julie Young. In a setback to Thomas Fisher Landscaping, Diana’s got strong play from goalie Lauren Pinelli, while Emily Trend, Martha Kerbel and Annie Lauricella played strong defense. Faith Tellier, Sammie DeForte and Lauren Brez were tough in the middle with help from Phau and Julia Drake. DIVISION 4 BOYS
Jack’s Greenhouse & Nursery/European Plus Auto Repair combined to edge Thomas Design Associates/Stellitano Heating & Air Conditioning, 2-1, on two goals by Brandon Geddis off assists from Alec Piacente and Nick Alito. Harrison Okun scored for TDA/Stellitano.
SH&AC/Jack’s combined to top Euro Plus/Thomas, 8-1. Ryan Kuchinski scored on a PK for EP/T, while the winners got three goals from Matt Hunt, two each from Adam Hillman and Grant Griffiths and one by Kyle Malec. Zach Hamilton had a great save in goal for Stellitano/Jack’s.
