Guy, Reba have offensive explosions in Jets Sophomore win

In HEWYBL Sophomore Division action last Saturday, the Jets gained revenge for the NFL New York Jets opening-night loss, by taking an 18-12 win over the Ravens.
Ethan Guy rushed for 285 yards and two touchdowns while McKenna Ryba threw for 350 yards and a TD. Cory Easter and Riley McMahon each had an interception. The Ravens were led by Sean McAleer (285 yards, TD), and Tyler Shumsky (385 passing yards, TD). The defense got an interception each from Tien Amir Siplin and Drew Borek.
The Ravens came back to beat the Cowboys, 18-12, as Gavin Brown threw for 425 passing yards and two touchdowns and Bryce Francois ran for a 100-yard touchdown to win the game. The defense got two interceptions each from Isaiah Scott and Christopher Drews. Mason Debruyn rushed for 285 and a TD for the Cowboys while Spencer Kenny threw for 300 yards and a TD. Defensively, Angelo Lombardo and Jeremy Bogan made key stops.
The 49ers and Panthers played to an exciting 6-6 tie. The Niners David opened the scoring with a 15-yard touchdown reception from K-Shawn Schulters. The Panthers’ Kether Thorton answered with an 81-yard touchdown run to complete the scoring. For the 49ers, Colton Ahern ran for 95 yards while Eric Mayers picked up 50. Defensively, Luc and Ike Mariano each had multiple flag pulls and Anthony Stevens blocked a crucial pass. For the Panthers, Tyler Schamper and Mitchell Fry were strong offensively, while on defense Alex Feyes had four flag pulls and Isiah Thorton and Colin Ginest had two apiece.
In Freshman play, the Cowboys beat the Ravens, 28-21, as Nick Walsh rushed for 145 yards and Max Peterson threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns. Phillip Reed and Conner McDowell had two interceptions each. The ravens were led by Kelly McAleer (480 rushing yards, 2 TDs) and Ryan Guy (350 passing yards, TD). The defense got two interceptions apiece from Justin Ford and Max Stefanchik.
The Ravens returned the favor with a 35-21 win over the Cowboys, as Cooper Zullo rushed for 355 yards and three touchdowns and Luke Bornstein threw for 425 yards and two TDs. Evan Cepeda and David Disanzo had two picks each. The Cowboys were led by Dylan Krall (240 rushing yards, two TDs) and Daniel Wersching (285 passing yards, TD). The defense got numerous big stops from Ethan Altero and Timothy Davis.
