The Historical Society of Princeton’s sixth annual Princeton Fall Antiques and Fine Arts Show was, according to HSP director of development Barbara Webb, “Our best ever.”
“Everything seemed to click this year. The attendance for the Preview Gala was excellent, but most importantly, our audience for the weekend was more than any previous year, with over 1,200 attending for the three- day event,” she said.
Highlights of the weekend included a presentation by Suzanne Perrault of “Antiques Roadshow” fame and a partner, along with her husband David Rago, at Rago Arts and Auction Center of Lambertville. Ms. Perrault talked to a packed audience about the evolution of American Art Pottery as well as the Robert A. Ellison, Jr. American Art Pottery Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Antiques Show visitors were also treated to six “A Passion for Collecting” Exhibitor Booth Talks, and an Appraisal Clinic hosted by five experts from Rago Arts and Auction Center.
HSP and the Antiques Show Committee is already thinking about ways to continue to advance the Antiques Show for 2011 and beyond!
