Kathy S. McLaughlin, 62, of Plainsboro, was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and speeding. Police said they stopped her at 8:58 p.m. on South Harrison Street for speeding and arrested her after conducting field sobriety tests. She was released to a friend pending court.
Leonel Ovidido Lopez, 31, of Witherspoon Street, was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a car on Route 206 Sunday, police said. Mr. Lopez was attempting to cross the highway, police said, and was thrown from his bike and onto the pavement. Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad took him to the University Medical Center at Princeton for lacerations to his face, head, and right arm, and he was later released. He also was charged with failure to keep right.

David J. Blaney, 41 of the Belle Mead section of the township was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and careless driving. Police said they responded to a motor vehicle accident in the driveway of a Camp Meeting Avenue residence in the Skillman section of town at 11 p.m. There, police said they determined Mr. Blaney had left the eastern lane of the road and hit a parked, unoccupied car. No injuries were reported, and Mr. Blaney was released to a family member pending court.
William J. McKenney, 46, of Sayreville, was taken into custody Oct. 8 on a warrant for $120 from the East Brunswick Municipal Court. Police said he was a passenger in a van that was stopped on Bedens Brook Road at 9:23 a.m. when police noticed he was seated on a plastic bucket. Police said they checked his identity and found the outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody and released on bail pending an appearance in East Brunswick Municipal Court.
Luis F. Alonso-Vazquez, 33, of Orlando, Florida, was charged Oct. 5 with failure to maintain lane. Police said they responded to Route 601 between Skillman and Sunset roads at 6:04 p.m. for a report of a two-car crash. Police said Mr. Alonso-Vazquez was traveling north when he lost control of his car on a curve along the wet road. Police said he passed into the southbound lane, where he struck a car being operated by a Farmingdale woman. Police said Mr. Alonso-Vazquez sustained a minor head laceration, and the woman complained of head and neck pains. Both were transported to the University Medical Center Princeton by the Montgomery Township First Aid Squad. Mr. Alonso-Vazquez is scheduled to appear in municipal court.
Yvonne Levine, 44, of Hillsborough, was charged Sept. 28 with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit samples of her breath. Police said they found her in a vehicle just off Dutchtown-Zion Road and partially off a private driveway, with two flat tires. Police said Ms. Levine admitted to having struck a curb. She was released to a friend.

Police said a 51-year-old Wethersfield Drive resident and teacher at Millstone River School reported the theft Tuesday of a $180 music player. Police said the victim told them someone took her purple, 16-gigabyte Apple iPod Nano from her classroom between 11 a.m. Monday and noon Tuesday.
Police responded to Hunters Glen Drive at 9:41 a.m. Monday after someone reported the theft of a trailer containing a power washing machine, a tank, and propane heater worth a total of $15,000 from the parking lot of Building 8. Police said the theft occurred some time between Oct. 8 and Monday.
A 17-year-old Quail Ridge Drive boywas charged Sunday with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and obstruction of justice. Police said they were investigating a disturbance in lot 22 of Quail Ridge Drive at 7:21 p.m. when they saw three boys walk into the parking tlot. When police approached them, they said the boy ran away. Police said after a short chase on foot they took him into custody at the Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course. Police said they found he had fewer than 50 grams of marijuana on him. He was released to a guardian.
A 17-year-old West Windsor boy was charged Oct. 8 with possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana. Police said they responded to Brentwood Lane at 9:46 p.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle and found the boy had fewer than 50 grams of the substance. He was later released to his parents.
Someone stole about 160 feet of copper piping, worth $1,000, from Midwest Mechanical at the site of the University Medical Center Princeton at Plainsboro on Plainsboro Road between Oct. 5 and 7, police said.

Muhammed U. Jabbar, 28, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, improper lane change, and speeding. Police said they stopped him at 12:55 a.m. on Route 1 at Nassau Park Boulevard for speeding and after he improperly changed lanes. Police said Mr. Jabbar failed field sobriety tests, and he was later released pending court.
Rusian Kireev, 33, of Trenton, was charged Sunday with shoplifting. Police said they responded to the Wal-Mart in the Nassau Park Retail Center at 4:55 p.m. after a loss prevention officer at the store reported seeing Mr. Kireev conceal a mini-computer back-up hard drive valued at $119 and try to leave the store. He was released pending court.
Police are seeking a man they believe twice stole merchandise from the Ulta Beauty store on the 500 block of Nassau Park Boulevard. Police said the first incident occurred Sept. 28, when a man stole a bottle of perfume worth $80. On Oct. 8, police said the same man reportedly took two more bottles of perfume worth about $100. During the latter incident, police said store management confronted the man, who became verbally abusive until he dropped one of the bottles. A construction worker who observed the commotion confronted the man outside the store, police said, and the man dropped the second bottle.
Police said the man, who they described as black, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and wearing tan pants, a sweater, and a tan knit head wrap, was seen getting into a beige four-door Nissan car driven by a woman and fleeing the area.
