Tiger Lilies 14U ice hockey sweeps opening pair

The Princeton Tiger Lilies 14U girls travel hockey team got its season off to a good start last weekend as it posted two victories in Mid-Atlantic Women’s Hockey Association (MAWHA) play.
On Saturday, the Tiger Lilies blanked the Long Island Lady Islanders, 7-0, as Amanda Sabia scored four goals with Erin Dillon scoring two and Alison Louie chipping in one. Lucy Nalen, Alexandra Callaway, and Bella Crane all picked up assists in the win. Goalies Giana Rifici (five saves)and Katie Alden (13 saves) combined on the shutout.
A day later, the Tiger Lilies topped the Hershey Junior Bears, 6-1, as Sabia scored three goals with Dillon adding two. Lucy Herring chipped in a goal and an assist. In goal, Rifici and Alden combined for the win with Rifici making eight saves and Alden posting five.
