The NBC Band Boosters will host a craft show on December 11 from 9am-2pm. The show will be held at the Northern Burlington Regional Middle School located at 180 Mansfield Rd. East in Columbus. Mansfield Township Residents: As a service to our Residents, FREE Mandatory Paper Biodegradable Leaf Bags should be picked-up at the Clerk’s Office M-F from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. -or- Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon at the Recycling Area in the Municipal Parking Lot if you plan on placing leaves curbside for collection.For your convenience, curbside collection of these Paper Biodegradable Leaf Bags will be provided by our Public Works Department on the following dates only: Monday, Nov. 22, and Monday, Dec. 20. Only paper biodegradable bags will be collected on the above dates.
All leaf bags must be curbside by 6 a.m. Equipment breakdowns or weather conditions may delay the time schedule. Township residents are reminded that State Law prohibits the disposal of Leaves with your household trash and garbage. A tour of nine one-room schoolhouses will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6. The tour will include the 1849 Georgetown School in Columbus. Tickets are $6 (advance), $7 event day, senior citizens $5 (advance) $6 event day, Students $4 (advance) $5 event day. For tickets or information, call 289-4174. ***
The Widows and Widowers will host a dance on Sunday, Nov. 7 from 7-10:30 pm. The dance will be held at the Korean Presbyterian Church on Rt. 130 in Bordentown. Tickets will be $8 for members and $9 for guests. Tickets will be available at the door. Refreshments will be served. Call 298-4176. ***
The Mansfield Township Historical Society will sponsor a Veterans Day Luncheon to be held on Friday, Nov. 12, at 10:30 am. The event will be held at Town and Country Diner on Rt. 130 in Bordentown. The cost of the luncheon is $20. The guest speaker will be Joe Laufer. Call 289-4174. ***

Reservations are now being accepted for the annual Hedding United Methodist Church Oyster Supper. The date is Saturday, Oct. 23, with seatings every half hour starting at 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The price for adults is $23.00 and $10 for children 6 years to 12 years old (children 5 and under are free). New this year: Pre-purchased TAKE-OUTS tickets are available. Pick up time is only from 2:45 to 3:15pm. (with no take-outs available after that time.) Reservations must be made in advance by calling Claudia Teal at 609-324-0729.
Also the church bazaar will be held in the church basement with a variety of handmade items such as quilts, pillows, placemats, etc. and baked goods. Our famous pepper relish, which is served at the supper, will be sold at the bazaar. The church is located at the intersection of Old York Road and Hedding-Kinkora Road in Mansfield Township. ***
The Special Events Committee is planning the 10th Annual Holiday Light Tour scheduled for Saturday, December 4 with a rain date of Sunday, Dec. 5. Wagon Ride tours will take participants throughout the village of Columbus to view the decorated homes. This year, the adults on the rides will be given the opportunity to vote for the best decorated home. Winners will be announced after the event. Tickets will be on sale at the concession stand for $5. There will be refreshments served and entertainment by a bonfire. ***
