Friday, Oct. 22 – The Robbinsville-Hamilton Rotary Club’s annual Art Auction/Silent Auction will be held at the Nottingham Ballroom, 200 Mercer St., Hamilton Square.
The 6:30 p.m. preview and 7:30 p.m. auction will feature art in all media and price ranges. Major credit cards accepted. Ten-dollar admission includes light hors d’oeuvres by food sponsor Dolce & Clemente and other refreshments.
Proceeds benefit the National Guard State Family Readiness Council, Robbinsville-Hamilton Rotary Foundation, Womanspace, Boys & Girls Club of Trenton & Mercer County.

Tea Party gathering
Saturday, Oct. 23 – The newly formed Robbinsville Tea Party will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. at Take 5 Gourmet, 1065 Washington Blvd., Robbinsville. The five candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives in New Jersey’s 4th District have been invited to come and discuss their platforms in an informal setting. The public is invited to attend.

Gift auction
Saturday, Oct. 23 – A gift auction sponsored by the Women’s Association of Allentown will be held at the Allentown First Aid Building on Route 526. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the calling begins at 8.
Two sheets of tickets will be provided with a $5 donation; additional packets of 25 tickets are $1 or three packets for $2. All proceeds support projects in the Allentown area. No one under 18 years old is permitted.
Basket/bag bingo
Saturday, Oct. 30 – The New Egypt Elks will host at Longaberger Basket and Vera Bradley Bag Bingo at 3p.m. Anyone interested in the bingo can contact Christine Miller at 609-234-4110 or e-mail [email protected].
Halloween parade
Sunday, Oct. 31 – Millstone Township will hold its 21st annual Halloween parade. Parking, registration and parade lineup will take place between 1:45 and 2 p.m. at the fields behind the Clarksburg Inn on Route 524. The parade will begin promptly at 2 p.m., at which time Route 524 will be closed to through traffic.
Goody bags will be distributed and prizes will be awarded for scariest, funniest, prettiest, most original and most patriotic costumes.
Donations of individually wrapped candy are needed and will be accepted at the Millstone Firehouse, located at Route 524 in Clarksburg, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
This event is being coordinated by the Millstone Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and is sponsored by Millstone Township area businesses and organizations. For more information, call 609-371-0365.
Spooktacular
Sunday, Oct. 31 – This year’s fall festival in New Egypt will be Spooktacular! The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in historic, downtown New Egypt.
The spooky festivities will include a costume contest, a haunted house, hay rides, a costumed pet parade, Spooky Story Time and a pumpkin- carving contest. Live music will be provided by the band Shadowroad. There will be food, inflatables, games, and shopping available.

Free paper shredding
Saturday, Nov. 6 – Robbinsville Township will hold a free residential paper-shredding event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until truck is filled) at the township firehouse, 1149 Route 130 North. Rain or shine. Proof of township residency required: driver’s license, tax bill or utility bill.
Bring: paper material and file folders, receipts, bills, financial statements or anything you have not recycled for confidentiality concerns. One hundred pound limit. Do not bring: books, magazines and newspapers. These items can be disposed of through the regular curbside pickup service.

Saturday, Nov. 6 – Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Allentown, will hold its 40th annual Country Bazaar & Auction from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Auction begins at 10 a.m.
Large flea market, rummage area, baked goods, books, toys, clothes, crafts, lunch. Soup to-go by quart. Inside and out, rain or shine.

Cemetery preservation clinic
Saturday, Nov. 6 – Eugene Hough, president of Heritage Guild Works and a Revolutionary War re-enacter, will hold a cemetery preservation clinic from 10 a.m. to noon at the Old Yellow Meeting House, 70 Yellow Meeting House Road, Cream Ridge.
Mr. Hough, dressed in Colonial garb, will explain how to assess the condition of the tombstones, how to safely remove lichen and moss, and how to get the best lighting for reading the epitaphs. This will be a hands-on workshop. Ghosts of cemetery residents may also appear. All those interested in local history and cemeteries are invited to attend. There is no charge.

Saturday, Nov. 13 – The Central Jersey Blood Bank will hold its annual drive along with its sponsor, the Women’s Association of Allentown, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Allentown. Once again the Women’s Association will be assisted by local Girl Scouts.

MOMS Club of Upper Freehold/Allentown – This club holds its monthly meetings the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St.
The club offers low- or no-cost monthly calendar events for all age groups that include day trips, play groups, clubs, community service projects and MOMS Night Out. The public is welcome to come meet the club members and learn about the international, nonprofit organization that offers local, stay-at-home and part-time working moms support and the opportunity to share activities and experiences with other local moms and their children.
