Martin Engel, chairman, Community Blood Bank
South Brunswick Community Blood Bank wants to thank the folks who took time out of a lovely, though windy, Saturday to donate 107 much-needed units of blood.
And we had a record-setting 20 donors who did ALYX double donations.
If you weren’t able to be with us, we’re hopeful you’ll join us next time on Sunday, Jan. 30, at Congregation B’nai Tikvah, Finnegans Lane, North Brunswick.
We also want to thank those who helped us with this drive: the volunteers who put up billboards and posters, handled registration of donors and fed the staff.
We also appreciate teenagers Niralee Desai, Paul Gramieri and Shana Samuels, who shared duties at the refreshment and child-care areas.
We’re grateful for local business support: Bagel Time and Deli, Beiler’s Fresh Meats, Confectionately Yours, McCaffrey’s, Pierre’s Bakery, Stop ‘n Shop, Staples, Tastee SubShoppee II and Wegman’s.
If you’d like to join our committee and/or lend a helping hand with our coming blood donor drives, call me at 732-297-7316.
