Nicole Madelena Santowasso and Michael Dean Palmquist were married June 5 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church by Father Robert G. Lynam. The bride is the daughter of Donna and Joseph R. Santowasso of Hopewell. The groom is the son of Carol and Ronald D. Palmquist of Princeton.
Maid of Honor was Lisa M. Santowasso, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were the groom’s sister, Maria Palmquist, the bride’s cousins Miriam Cash and Meredith Santowasso, and friends Csilla Graves and Michele Nielsen. The flower girl was the groom’s Goddaughter Sarah Mullen.
Best men were Daniel Mullen and Ryan Mullen. Groomsmen were the groom’s cousin Gregory Price, and friends William Doolan, Scott Rollin, James Shaughnessy and Jeffrey Swenson.
Both the bride and groom graduated from Notre Dame High School and Shippensburg University.
The bride is employed by Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp. in the sales training and development department.
The groom is a senior environmental specialist with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. He was a member of the Army National Guard and served in the 104th Long Range Surveillance Detachment Airborne Unit of the 28th Infantry Division, Pa. Army N.G. He had served in Bosnia as part of the tactical HUMINT team continuing peacekeeping mission with other national forces. He served in this unit for six years, receiving an honorable discharge in 2006.
After a two-week honeymoon in Hawaii, including a seven-day cruise of the Hawaiian Islands, the Palmquists made their home in Hunterdon County.
