Tiny Mites end with win

The Hopewell Valley Tiny Mites concluded their inaugural Pop Warner season with a 24-12 win over Hamilton.
Nick Powers and Tyler Jameson each scored two touchdowns, while Billy O’Connor, DJ Hunt, Lucas Ferry, Jacob Venezia and Danny Nini all added yards on the ground.
The blocking was handled by Joey Vannozzi, Robbie Avanzato, Emmitt Butler, Ryan Cenicola, Brooks Hogan, Jack Stanton, Tyrek Byrd and Jay Long, while the Bulldog defense got solid play from Luke Harrison, Alex Robbins, Timmy McKeown, Alex Lewis, Wyatt Hartman, Trevor Sirak, Sammy Cortina, Kyle Machusak, Chris LaBaw, Ryan Kuukevere and Anthony Argiropolous.
The 160s completed their regular season 6-0-1 with a 24-0 win over Flemington in a non-conference game.
The Bulldogs were led offensively by Lawrence Stevens, as he accounted for all three touchdowns on runs of 50 and 71 yards and a 40-yard reception of a screen pass from Darrin Basich.
The ‘Dawgs offensive line of Carson Vey, Matt Graziano, Jeff Wiley, Will Cusma and Kadeem Neill did a nice job blocking. Justin Henderson and Larry Green had some strong runs and Drew Wiley had some nice runs and catches.
Defensively, middle linebacker Lorenzo Bryant was his usual dominant self and also returned a fumble 40 yards. Others who played well were Ralfy Balestrieri, Ricky Guest. Jon Marut. Luke Momo, Matt Semple, Andrew Field, and Zayne Papewhite.
Next up is Hamilton in the opening round of the Burlington Pop Warner playoffs.
The Golden Mitey Mites got strong defensive efforts in a 22-0 loss to the division-leading New Egypt Warriors, as linemen James Stanton, Hudson Hartman, Eric Osterman and Jack Muoio took control and linebackers Luke Olswfski and Mike Randazzo, and cornersPeter Demareski and Matt Carom played tough.
