Peddie School Presents A Winter’s Tale

By Peddie School
Peddie School will present Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale on Nov. 4, 5 and 6 at the Mount-Burke Theater on its Hightstown campus. The public is invited to attend.
The performance, featuring the school’s upperclassmen, is a cautionary tale filled with passion, humor, love, loss, and, finally, redemption.
The Winter’s Tale begins with the joyful reunion of best friends Leontes, King of Sicilia, and Polixenes, King of Bohemia. The festivities quickly cease, however, when Leontes becomes irrationally jealous and falsely accuses his adoring wife, Hermoine, of an adulterous affair with Polixenes. Leontes’ blind rage leads him down a path of murder and banishment.
The performances will be at 8 p.m. on Nov. 4, 5, and 6. Tickets may be purchased for $10 by calling the box office at (609) 944-7550 or emailing [email protected]
