The United Way of Hunterdon County is seeking nominations for its "Community Volunteer of the Year" award.
Bonnie Duncan, executive Director, said: "The Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented to a community volunteer who demonstrates extraordinary commitment, creativity, leadership, inspiration and sustained service which benefits Hunterdon County residents and has a positive impact on our community."
The individual chosen will be honored at the organization’s eighth annual "Celebrating Community Caring" recognition dinner to be held on May 6, 2011 at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse.
United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life – a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. The goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.
