Bordentown Township Senior Citizen Club meetings are the first and third Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. All township seniors age 55 and over welcome. ”Love (Awkwardly),” a comedy, will be presented Friday, Oct. 29, and Saturday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. by students at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center, Bordentown Regional High School, 318 Ward Ave., Bordentown. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students. Proceeds benefit BRHS student scholarships. Tickets will be sold at the door.
The Friends of St. Mary’s School will hold a Flea Market on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s School Hall and Yard, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown City. Refreshments will be tuna salad or egg salad sandwiches and hot dogs. Inside tables are $10 each; outside space is $5 each. To reserve space call Sally at 298-7768.

The Knights of Columbus No. 570 will sponsor a bus trip of Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on Sunday, Nov. 7. The bus leaves St. Mary’s parking lot in Bordentown City at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $30 and each will receive $30 in slot play. Call Bob at 298-5530.
Hope Hose Humane Fire Company No. 1, 150 W. Burlington St., Bordentown, will hold a pancake breakfast and Photos With Santa on Sunday, Nov. 14: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for food; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for kid photos; 1 to 3 p.m. for pet photos. Costs: $5 food; $10 sitting fee for first and second child & $5 for any additional; $10 sitting fee for pets. Fee includes one 4X6 photo & a gift from Santa.
The Bordentown City Senior Citizens is sponsoring a bus trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse to see a Christmas Show and have dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 17. We will be departing from the back of Carslake Community Center at 9:30 a.m. and returning at 5:30 p.m. Call Polly Mathews at (609) 298-9218.
The Women’s Society of First Baptist Church of Bordentown, Prince and Church streets, will hold a Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are tables with gifts, crafts, toys and games, stocking stuffers and baked goods. While you are shopping enjoy a delicious lunch with homemade soup, sandwiches, hot dogs, beverages, along with homemade desserts. The kitchen opens at 11:30. The Holy Cross Lutheran preschool at 280 Crosswicks Road in Bordentown has limited availability for both their Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 programs beginning in September. Bordentown Regional School District is accepting applications for a full day, tuition based preschool program for children who are 4 years old and will turn 5 by Oct.1, 2011. The program offers Tools of the Mind, a nationally recognized early childhood curriculum in a state-of the-art classroom designed for preschoolers. Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday night at 7:15. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Price is $6. Lodge 2085 does a breakfast on the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
