The club is open to new members who are residents of Manville, age 60 and older, or age 55 if disabled. October will be the last month for acceptance of new members until January 2011.

Blood pressure screening is held before the beginning of each meeting.
Councilman Ed Komoroski spoke on Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 25 – Oct. 30. This is a joint venture sponsored by the Manville Municipal Alliance and Manville Recreation to promote a drug-free environment. Red ribbons will be placed at the schools and on Main Street.
It’s that time of the year again: tickets for the annual Christmas Party, to be held Dec. 12 at the VFW post, will be on sale at the Nov. 11 meeting. Tickets are $10 for members and $20 for guests, and the same reimbursement procedures will be followed. Pat Zangaro has requested that you give her your seating requests at the November meeting.
There will be nominations of officers at the November meeting, with elections in December and installation of new officers in January.
