HILLSBOROUGH: Man charged after tearing up campaign signs

   Jack Pino, 56, was charged with criminal mischief and littering at 9:49 a.m. on Oct. 23 after a police officer saw him tearing up campaign signs.
   Police said Mr. Pino, of Hillsborough, was stopped at the intersection of Valley Road and Auten Road, when he exited his van and walked over to the southwest corner of the intersection. It was there that he tore up three election signs, two for Frank DelCore and one for Maureen Vella, and left them in tatters on the ground.
   An off-duty police officer saw the whole incident, notified police headquarters and followed Mr. Pino to Drost Lane, where Mr. Pino was arrested.
   He was taken to the police station released after processing.
