Leonard Allen, West Long Branch, has been named vice president and branch manager of the Lakewood branch of Harmony Bank, with headquarters in Jackson. His duties include managing the Lakewood branch and developing business and community relations, among other responsibilities.

Prior to joining Harmony Bank, Allen was second vice president and community banking manager for Investors Saving Bank for 14 years, during which he effectively grew Investors’ customer base and expanded business development.

Among his honors, Allen was named a 2009 and 2010 Business Person of the Month, and the 2007 Citizen of the Year by the Lakewood Chamber. Investors named him Best Business Banker as well as Best Community Banker in 2009.

Dr. Evan Rubin of Shrewsbury has joined Visiting Physician Services, Eatontown, as a house call physician treating elderly and homebound patients in Monmouth County. He is board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment.

Previously, Rubin was a staff physician for the Integrated Medicine Alliance in Shrewsbury. He is also in private practice at The Medicine Lodge Clinic in New York and completed his family medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y.

Visiting Physician Services, 615 Hope Road, Eatontown, is a physician-based organization providing house call services to elderly and homebound patients in Monmouth, Ocean, Essex, Union, Middlesex and Somerset counties.

Robert C. Schachter of Ocean, Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis, Real Estate Department partner, was selected for inclusion in “Super Lawyers — New Jersey Edition 2010.” He was also included in “Chambers USA — America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2010” in the Real Estate category. Schachter works out of the firm’s Woodbridge office and concentrates in all aspects of real estate, with a particular emphasis on commercial leasing. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and received his juris doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
