An exhibit of award-winning seascapes and reflections by local photographer Jennie A. Meares is at McLoone’s Pier House in Long Branch.
An opening reception for “At Water’s Edge” will be held Nov. 18, 6-8 p.m., at the Pier House, One Ocean Ave., Pier Village. The exhibit will run through Jan. 3.
A love of sand and sea drawn from summers on the Jersey Shore infuses the images by Meares, and she has become known for her fascination with reflections, which range from impressionistic to abstract. In her 13th solo exhibit, the Matawan artist shares a selection of award-winning seascapes from near and far, along with several seasonal reflections.
Meares, whose work is known as jam-inspired photography, will be donating 20 percent of sale proceeds to McLoone’s nonprofit organization, Holiday Express, which brings holiday cheer and music to those who are often forgotten. Works will be for sale throughout the exhibit. Prints may be ordered in different sizes.
