RUMSON — Congregation B’nai Israel will celebrate the 25th year of its early childhood development center, Gan Yeladim, on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Parents, grandparents, family and friends are welcome to join the celebration. Gloria and Gene Landy, longtime members of Congregation B’nai Israel and founders of Gan Yeladim Early Childhood Development Center, will be honored that night. A cocktail reception with gift auction and raffle will be held from 7-9 p.m.
Gan Yeladim means “Garden of Children.” The school, which serves children ages 19 months to 6 years, has indoor and outdoor facilities at 171 Ridge Road in Rumson and is licensed by the state.
The Landys organized a committee to establish the school and provided the early funding. “While the Gan was established for children, it has also fostered a sense of community and belonging among the parents and families,” said Gloria Landy.
The cost of the cocktail reception is $36 per person. To attend the event or donate, contact Maria Caputo Shapiro at mariaacaputo@ aol.com or 732-383-5131. All funds raised will be used to continue to upgrade and improve the facilities at Gan Yeladim Early Childhood Development Center.
