The East Brunswick Museum Corporation will present its 2010 holiday display, “Celebrating Our Diversity,” Nov. 28-Jan. 10 at the museum, 16 Maple St., in the Historic Village of Old Bridge, East Brunswick. Regular museum hours are 1:30-4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, year-round.
The exhibit, which is sponsored by the museum’s board of trustees, will open with a public reception 1-4 p.m. Nov. 28.
The display is designed to celebrate the holiday traditions of the many organizations and cultures represented in East Brunswick.
Local organizations were invited to participate by providing decorations that represent their organization’s mission and/or culture or items that show how they contribute to East Brunswick. Participating organizations include Red Hat Society Chapter No. 23827; The Mad Hatters of Historic Old Bridge; Cub Scout Pack No. 223, East Brunswick; Delaware Raritan Girl Scout Council; East Brunswick High School Rotary Interact Club; South River-East Brunswick Rotary; Spotswood Cultural and Heritage Commission; and Huntington Learning Center, East Brunswick.
Members of the public are invited to view the display and become museum members. The museum is a membership organization, and dues help support programs, exhibits and ongoing expenses.
The museum is a private nonprofit corporation and does not charge admission; however, donations are always welcome.
