Carl Swanson and Hopewell Valley Lions
The Hopewell Valley Lions is a not-for-profit service and volunteer organization that has been active in the Hopewell Valley for almost 60 years. We Lions are now conducting our fall fundraiser by selling a few items. We depend on these sales to support our volunteer efforts.
One hundred percent of the funds from these sales go to the programs we support — from collecting and recycling eyeglasses, to free loan of medical equipment, funding Boy Scout and Girl Scout projects, Central High scholarships, support for an eye research chair at the UMDNJ Medical School, and many, many others. We are the primary service organization in the fight against preventable blindness worldwide.
In the old days we used to sell brooms and light bulbs door-to-door. Now we peddle nuts, coffee and fruit cake. Everyone seems to have a broom now — but if you want one, I am sure I can get you one of those too!.
If you wish to help I have listed the items and prices Lions are offering for sale at this time. Please let me know by e-mail what you would like and I will be sure you receive your order within a few days.
Payment should be made to “The Hopewell Valley Lions Club.”
